Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about getting a quote and choosing coverage.

Getting a quote

How does the online quote work?

Choose the coverage you need, answer a few questions, and your estimate updates instantly as you go. Every price comes from our rating tables, and you can see exactly which factors affect it.

Is getting a quote free?

Yes. Getting a quote is free and there's no obligation to buy.

Is my online quote my final price?

Your online quote is an estimate. Final pricing is confirmed after a licensed agent reviews your information.

How do you use AI?

Our AI assistant can fill in the quote form from a plain-English description and explain what's driving your price. It never sets your price. Every dollar is calculated by our rating engine.

What happens after I save my quote?

A CoreBridge agent reviews it and reaches out using the contact details you provide. You can also create an account to save quotes, purchase a policy, e-sign documents and access digital ID cards.

How is my information used?

We use the details you share to prepare your quote and to contact you about it.

Auto Insurance

What affects my auto insurance rate?

Your rate is based on factors such as your vehicle's year and value, your age, your driving record, how many miles you drive, the coverage level you choose and your deductible. Our quote page shows exactly how each factor affects your price.

What's the difference between liability-only and full coverage?

Liability coverage pays for injuries and property damage you cause to others. "Full coverage" typically adds collision coverage (damage to your own car from an accident) and comprehensive coverage (things like theft, vandalism, fire or weather).

Why do you ask for my VIN?

Your 17-character Vehicle Identification Number tells us your exact year, make, model, body style and the safety systems your vehicle came with. That lets us price your quote more precisely. Entering a VIN is optional.

Is my online quote final?

No. Your online quote is an estimate based on the information you provide. Your final price is confirmed after a licensed agent reviews your details.

Renters Insurance

What does renters insurance cover?

Renters insurance generally covers your personal belongings and your personal liability. Many policies also help with additional living expenses if a covered loss makes your home unlivable. Your agent will confirm exactly what your policy includes.

Doesn't my landlord's insurance cover my things?

Usually not. A landlord's policy typically covers the building itself, not your personal belongings or your personal liability.

How much personal property coverage do I need?

Add up the approximate cost to replace your belongings: furniture, electronics, clothing, kitchenware and so on. A quick room-by-room inventory is the easiest way to estimate it.

Can I add coverage for my pet?

Yes. Select pet coverage in the quote and it's included in your price. An agent will walk you through the details before you buy.

Heavy Equipment Insurance

What does heavy equipment insurance cover?

Physical damage coverage helps pay to repair or replace your machinery after a covered loss. Adding liability coverage helps protect you if your operations injure someone or damage their property. Exact covered causes of loss are defined in your policy.

What types of equipment can I insure?

Our online quote covers excavators, loaders, cranes and bulldozers. For other machinery, request a quote and an agent will help.

How is my premium calculated?

Your estimate is based mainly on the equipment's value, the type of machine and the coverage you choose. Cranes, for example, typically cost more to insure than loaders.

Do I need coverage for rented or financed equipment?

Many rental and financing agreements require you to carry insurance on the equipment. Check your agreement, and your agent can help you meet its requirements.

Commercial Insurance

What does general liability insurance cover?

General liability helps protect your business from claims that it caused bodily injury or property damage to others, such as a customer slipping in your store.

What is a business owner's policy (BOP)?

A BOP bundles general liability with commercial property coverage in a single policy. It's a common, cost-effective choice for small and mid-sized businesses.

What information do I need for a quote?

Your industry, approximate annual revenue and number of employees. That's enough for an instant estimate, and an agent will confirm the details.

Why does my industry affect the price?

Some industries face more risk than others. Construction and restaurants, for example, generally see more claims than professional offices, so they cost more to insure.
